Philipsburg, St. Marten (May 15, 2015) – No stranger to Westin St. Maarten Dawn Beach Resort & Spa, Rosie L. Dambruck returns as spa director of the Hibiscus Spa, where she first spent 2006-2011 as an aesthetician, lead therapist and floor supervisor.
Dambruck is responsible for the overall operation, staff training and development, protocol management and guest satisfaction at the Hibiscus Spa. With a team of more than 12, her goal is to provide guests with a unique and unsurpassed spa experience provided by highly trained therapists and skin care specialists with more than 15 years in the field and who truly care for each guest’s individual needs. Says Dambruck, “I consider myself a beauty advocate with a passion for beauty and an eye for detail and am always learning about new spa modalities and beauty trends.”
Prior to rejoining Hibiscus Spa, Dambruck spent time at M.A.C. Cosmetics, Estee Lauder Skincare, Bobbi and Clinique.
Dambruck brings more than 18 years in the spa and beauty industries to her post. She is a trained beautician, a certified aesthetician, a certified massage therapist and a certified makeup artist and has a degree in spa management with both European and American accreditation from Academy of Aesthetics Premiere School in the Dominican Republic. As a licensed esthetician, Dambruck specializes in Thalassotherapy and Morphology Lymphatic Drainage. She has earned 14 different certificates within the industry throughout her career, including from The Caribbean Wellness Institute, St. Maarten; Institute Ethederm, Paris; Eminence Organic , Budapest, Hungary; Phisiodermie, Switzerland; Decleor Laboratories, Paris; Bobbi Brown Artistry course, Orlando, FLA; and the University of St. Maarten.
Dambruck has updated the overall décor and revamped all treatment rooms to be more inviting and relaxing. Her next task will be to evaluate and refresh the treatment menu, though will continue to carry Pevonia skin care products and treatments including luxurious Pevonia facials and body treatments, such as Myoxy Caviar Facial, Luminous C & Sea Facial and several de-stressing, anti-aging and contouring body treatments. The spa’s popular packages include the Hibiscus Rain Shower Ritual, which includes body scrub, rain shower treatment, hot stone massage, lunch and an expert facial.
Dambruck considers a career highlight when she had a beauty column called “Vida Plena” for five years in El Hispano, a Dominican Republic magazine. She also delivered treatments to celebrities such as former MTV host Ananda Lewis former, LL cool J, and Mary J Blige.
A healthful culinary spa menu is also available for Hibiscus Spa guests, including a selection of salads, sandwiches and wraps.
