Denver, Colorado (July 7, 2016) – The Denver Marriott Tech Center & Sage Hospitality are pleased to announce that Mike Case is now serving as General Manager of the hotel. The hotel also just completed the first phase of a major property rejuvenation launched last fall.
Case joins the Denver Marriott Tech Center from Sage’s Westin Westminster, where he served as General Manager for four years. A graduate of Colorado State University, Case has previously served as the General Manager of the JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek, The Oxford Hotel and the Denver Airport Marriott at Gateway Park.
The Denver Marriott Tech Center is currently undergoing a major transformation, with the first phase of renovation now completed. It included a complete overhaul of the hotel’s Summit Tower, which now offers 286 guest rooms redesigned to reflect the natural beauty of Colorado. The transformation included the creation of five Residential Suites complete with full kitchens, living rooms and workspaces, plus 36 Studio Suites.
All of the new guest rooms feature sleek furniture and original art, 49-inch and larger flat screen TVs and renovated bathrooms with gorgeous tile, sliding doors and high-end fixtures.
Owned by Host Hotels & Resorts, the Denver Marriott Tech Center also now offers travelers the latest in hospitality technology, including Marriott’s new in-room entertainment system featuring NetFlix, the latest WiFi technology, mobile check-in and state-of-the-art reader boards.
The hotel’s 50,000 square feet of meeting space has been updated in sleek mineral tones, including the 10,200 square foot Evergreen Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 1,000 people. Other property upgrades include a renovated Fitness Center and a redesigned entrance.
“I’m thrilled to have an experienced hotelier like Mike Case leading the charge as this property goes through such an exciting rejuvenation,” said Sage Hospitality President and CEO, Walter Isenberg. “Guests are going to be amazed at the complete transformation of this hotel, which has a fantastic Denver Tech Center location and is known for hosting many of Denver’s premiere events.”
The second phase of construction is currently underway and will be completed this fall. It will include renovations to the 319 remaining guest rooms and the lobby.
The Denver Marriott Tech Center will be one of the first in the nation to offer a Marriott M Club Lounge, a sunlit space with premiere services where Marriott Rewards Members can work, enjoy a bite, recharge and connect. The hotel will also be home to a new restaurant concept and an on-site market.
Owned by Bethesda, Maryland-based Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: HST) – one of the largest owners of luxury and upper-upscale hotels – the renovation of the Denver Marriott Tech Center is being designed by the internationally acclaimed Parker-Torres Design Inc.
