FORT COLLINS, COLO. – September 20, 2017 – The Elizabeth, Fort Collins’ highly-anticipated hotel, set to open this fall in the center of Old Town, announces the appointment of Scott Sloan as general manager. Scott will lead the new Autograph Collection hotel, developed by McWHINNEY, a Colorado-based national real estate development company and Sage Hospitality, a national developer and the hotel’s operator.
Sloan, who has been with Sage Hospitality for the last 12 years, is a 28-year veteran of the hospitality industry. Throughout his career, he has held an impressive track record at each of the hotels he has managed by driving revenue and exceeding customer service and guest satisfaction levels. Most recently, Sloan was the general manager at The Curtis Hotel, a DoubleTree by Hilton property located in Denver, where he managed a team of eight executives and more than 200 employees. Sloan began his career in hospitality in College Station, Texas, where he attended Texas A&M University, quickly climbing the ranks throughout various departments such as catering, sales, marketing and operations before managing his first hotel, the Marriott Ogden in Ogden, Utah in 2008.
“I am pleased to be the general manager of The Elizabeth Hotel, which will bring a true upscale hospitality experience to the city of Fort Collins,” said Sloan. “We look forward to working closely with the community to showcase our one-of-a-kind offering to all of our guests – locals and travelers alike.”
Once open, The Elizabeth will be a part of a mixed-use development in the area of Old Town, Fort Collins, defined as Firehouse Alley. The modern hotel will focus on community, music, expert design and service. Offering 3,500 sq. ft. of meeting space, including an outdoor terrace with views of Walnut Street, the hotel’s tasteful juxtaposition of design elements will truly set it apart. The hotel’s art collection will celebrate the authenticity and adventurous spirit of Fort Collins with works by local Colorado artists. Its elegant ease, thoughtful amenities and vibrant spaces will set the tone for discovery of the local culture and personal connection.
