DALLAS– The Sheraton Dallas Hotel, part of Marriott International, announces it has hired Mark Woelffer as General Manager of the 1840-room hotel and 230,000 square-foot meeting center.
Woelffer has more than 32 years of experience in the hotel industry, with more than 20 years working for Marriott International brands. Most recently, Woelffer held the position as General Manager at The Renaissance Dallas Hotel, where he repositioned the hotel with a multimillion-dollar expansion project that added 30,000 square feet of convention space.
Prior, he was General Manager of the Renaissance Pine Isle Resort and Golf Club at Lake Lanier Island, Horseshoe Bay Marriott Resort, and Houston West Loop Marriott. Preceding these positions, Woelffer served Director of Operations roles at Marriott properties in St. Louis and Atlanta, and was Food and Beverage Director at The Renaissance Denver Hotel. Woelffer’s hospitality career began in various leadership positions at Hyatt Hotels, before he transitioned to Marriott.
Woelffer serves on the Marriott Business council guidance team, and is currently the 2018 Chair of Visit Dallas.
