Flexible solution is enabling management to operate its f&b venues independently with inventory, expenses, and reports viewed holistically under Fox Theatre umbrella

Markham, Ontario, July 5, 2022Silverware is receiving consistent applause for the performance of its point-of-sale and mobile solutions at The Fabulous Fox Theatre in St. Louis. In addition to hosting Broadway shows, Vegas performers, top pop, rock and comedy concert acts, and classic movies, the famed historical Theatre is home to the Curtain Call Lounge and Stage Left Grille restaurant and has deployed the Silverware point-of-sale solution throughout the 4,500 capacity venue.

“From our first engagement with Silverware POS, it upstaged our prior solution,” said Kimberly Bell, Director, Information Technology at The Fabulous Fox Theatre. “We are a somewhat complicated operation, and the system we were using could no longer meet our demands. We needed a robust POS that could evolve with us and take us into the future. Curtain Call, Stage Left Grill, our Luxury Boxes, and Concessions each operate independently, yet we must still manage inventory, control expenses, and initiate reports holistically. Many of the POS systems we looked at did not have the complex reporting or software configurations to meet those requirements. For example, our venues may feature the same beer, but the price point at each is different; it’s the same inventory, but products are expensed according to venue type. As shows change, menus for each venue change too. Silverware takes the complex and makes it simple.”

Bell said The Fabulous Fox Theatre employees often work in multiple venues. Silverware makes it easy to keep track of who is working when and where, and then separates out relevant cost centers while granting the same permissions. This type of cross-over requires a flexible POS able to accommodate the special intricacies of a theatrical set up.

“A lot of pricing needs orchestrated on the fly,” Bell said. “As a theatre, we have special accounts and seating packages with dinner that need to be expensed differently. Sometimes, we need something completely new that day that we have never done. Before, that would have been a stressor. But with Silverware, it’s not a concern. We just give them a call and tech support walks us through what needs to be done step by step. It doesn’t matter what time of day it is – if we have a show and our system goes down – which has never happened – we know the Silverware team is standing by evenings and on weekends to assist.”

At the conclusion of the 2022 season, Bell said The Fabulous Fox Theatre will be looking into adding Silverware’s digital payments and ordering options. Silverware’s digital ordering and payments platform will enable audiences to seamlessly view menus, place orders, and pay through their mobile phones.

“We are thrilled that The Fabulous Fox Theatre is so pleased with Silverware,” said Lucky Thalas, Silverware EVP. “With over 40 Terminals and devices deployed throughout multiple revenue centers, this is a diverse implementation. We are excited to provide this legendary theatre the operational efficiencies and speed to succeed.”
