Worldwide Growth Continues to Accelerate, as Local Measure Adds Development and Service Team for the Middle East
Dubai and New York – 16 February 2017: Local Measure, the leading location-based social platform for hotels and the tourism industry, has opened an office in Dubai and appointed Dan Cross as Head of Middle East.
With existing offices in Sydney, Singapore, London, and Miami, the expansion signifies the importance of the MEA tourism market for this relatively young Australian company. Local Measure recently raised $3.4M USD to help scale its business, and has won numerous accolades including the Phocuswright innovator of the year award.
The company’s clients include Dubai Tourism. Dubai Mall, Jumeirah Hotels and Accor Hotels.

Dan Cross, a UK native, has been based in Dubai for the last nine years, at the forefront of the digital hospitality industry, including as TripAdvisor Territory Manager. During this time, he has worked for other industry leaders such as Agoda, and most recently served as a General Manager for the marketing agency, Nexa. Working with a diverse range of customers, including international hotel chains and tourism boards, he brings deep insight and experience in reputation management and digital strategy across the MEA region.
