Moab, Utah, July 2019: Sorrel River Ranch Resort & Spa – a riverside oasis situated on the bank of the Colorado River, just on the edge of Arches National Park in Moab, Utah – is pleased to announce that Keith Hill has been appointed as General Manager, and David Corke as National Sales Manager. With more than 25 years combined, both Hill and Corke will bring incomparable leadership experience and exceptional management to the ranch.

“The team at Sorrel River Ranch has welcomed me with open arms and I could not have asked for a better start to my new role” says Keith Hill. “I look forward to bringing my experience and knowledge of the industry to Sorrel River Ranch and working with management and staff to enhance its already pristine reputation. I can already say that it is truly a property unlike any other, offering a unique fusion of luxury, service, and world-class adventure.”

“Sorrel River Ranch is a spectacular property and I am thrilled to be part of the team,” says David Corke. “I believe the ranch offers its guests experiences they are unable to get anywhere else, from guided hikes with stunning views of La Sal Mountains and jeep tours overlooking Fisher Towers to mountain biking and rafting down the Colorado River. With that, I cannot wait to begin to capitalize on the resorts strengths and offerings that I know current and future guests will enjoy.”

Born and raised in Ohio, Keith Hill began his hospitality career as Assistant F&B Manager at The Hermitage Hotel, where he played a role in the property’s first Forbes five-star award. Working his way up within the industry, Hill has managed other notable properties across the U.S., including Relais & Chateau Twin Farms Resort & Spa, where he directed front-of-house operations for a unique dining program that Zagat ranked at number two in the nation, and The Ahwahnee Hotel, serving as Operations Manager and orchestrating the planning and execution of an eight-million-dollar renovation. Prior to joining the Sorrel River Ranch team, Hill served as General Manager of Timber Cove Inn, a historic Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired hotel situated on the bluffs of the Northern Sonoma Coast before purchasing his very own boutique hotel and restaurant in Wisconsin. Making his way to Moab as General Manager, Hill is charged with operating the ranch, while continuing to provide guests with exceptional service and one- of-a-kind experiences. He will also manage all facets of the ranch, from operational duties to farm and garden development.

David Corke has more than 15-years of industry knowledge, working for global luxury hotel and resort brands. Born in Hong Kong, Corke graduated from Johnson and Wales University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management. Shortly after, he began his career at The Plaza Hotel and was enrolled in the Management Training Program: Rooms Division, before serving as Front Office Supervisor followed by Assistant Sales Manager at The Pierre, A Taj Hotel. As Corke continued to grow his career in the industry, he was appointed Sales Manager of Langham London before his promotion to Regional Sales Manager at Langham Hospitality Group. Here, he successfully created and executed the preferred travel agency program action plan, including sales calls, Agency of the Month, e-marketing, and telemarketing activities. Before heading to Sorrel River Ranch, Corke worked as the Director of Travel Industry Sales at JG Blackbook where he represented a portfolio of ten partner hotels, resorts, and tourism boards based in New York City. In his new role at Sorrel River Ranch, Corke will be responsible for bringing in new guests to the property by working with the Travel Agency market and Group & Incentive travel planners.
