Synergy Hospitality Management has been selected to manage the Holiday Inn Lancaster located on Chestnut Street in idyllic Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This partnership brings hospitality management expertise that strongly aligns with the ownership’s commitment to the improvement and advancement of Lancaster.  This expansion of Synergy’s third-party managed portfolio showcases the balance of operations and partnership that the company has long been known for.

THE STORIED REVIVAL OF HOLIDAY INN LANCASTER

The Holiday Inn Lancaster has a story to tell as it looks forward to welcoming more visitors in the hospitality rebound of 2021. In 2013 the 45-year-old, 10 story hotel was acquired by a partnership led by John Meeder, Sam Wilkser and other investors.  Together they repositioned the property as The Hotel Lancaster, bringing new energy and needed capital to the hotel.

In 2018, the new owners invested nearly $17 million to completely renovate all rooms and public areas of the hotel and bring it a new life, ultimately joining the IHG brand family as the Holiday Inn Lancaster in 2019. Renovations also included the addition of first-class food and beverage outlets in The Imperial Restaurant and the Imperial Ballrooms. In so doing, the hotel has added a premier venue for corporate meetings and social events, as well as employment opportunities and economic revival to the downtown area. Meeder was quoted in 2013 saying, “the hotel is different, and downtown is better off.” This statement, now dating back almost 10 years, could not be truer, even today.

OPERATIONAL EXPERTISE BROUGHT BY SEASONED HOTELIERS

As the ownership of the Holiday Inn Lancaster looks ahead to 2021, the experience found within Synergy Hospitality Management will be important to elevate the operations and sales deployment of the hotel. A short distance from the Greater Philadelphia area, the Hotel is positioned in prime operations territory for the Pennsylvania based hotel management company.

“We are looking forward to bringing Synergy’s proven operational best practices and unwavering sales ambition to Holiday Inn Lancaster,” states Stephen Field, President of Synergy Hospitality Management. “2020 was a difficult year for the entire hospitality industry, but even those challenges have bettered our industry, they have reaffirmed our commitment of being a leader in operational excellence.” The selection of Synergy to manage the Hotel was based on its alignment of company values, the ability to drive profitability, and its history of building environments of positive associate engagement and advancement. Meeder adds: “The vison of Synergy closely matches what we set out to do from the start.  We are grateful to have a management company that shares our vision and has the demonstrated ability to lead us forward to realize our goals for the hotel and community.”
