BOCA RATON, FL – November 8, 2021 – In advance of the winter unveiling of The Boca Raton’s $200 million Phase One transformation, the iconic resort announces the appointment of five new general managers who will oversee five distinct hotels sprawled across 200-waterfront-acres. Brice Kemper will preside over the all-new 27-story elegant Tower. Corinne Heyl will captain the all-suite, adult-only, luxury lakefront hotel, Yacht Club. Anthony Rico will lead the oceanfront luxury escape, Beach Club. James Carmody will manage the famed grand hotel, Cloister, and the extended-stay residential hideaway, Bungalows. And Antonia Korosec will oversee resort operations across the expansive property.

Brice Kemper, The Boca Raton Tower

General Manager of Tower, Brice Kemper, has more than two decades of leadership experience at famed Five-Star resorts worldwide. His luxury travel expertise, and acute attention to detail, will ensure a high-caliber experience when Tower debuts in the first quarter of 2022 following a $45 million complete redesign. Mr. Kemper joins The Boca Raton from the island of Malta, where he was general manager of The Phoenicia Malta resort. Prior to that, Mr. Kemper was resident manager at the award-winning Hôtel Du Cap-Eden-Roc along the French Riviera, where he spent 13 years overseeing daily operations at the legendary destination. Previously, he was a manager at the Hôtel Vista Palace, Grand Hôtel Cap-Ferrat, and The Peninsula New York. Mr. Kemper studied at the University of Michigan and continued his education at Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland and Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration in New York.

The 27-story, 225-room Tower, designed by Rockwell Group, will introduce luxurious and flexible suite configurations of two and three bedrooms, bespoke amenities, and butler service. As the destination’s tallest building, Tower offers unrivaled coastal views of Lake Boca and the ocean beyond.

 

Corinne Heyl, The Boca Raton Yacht Club
A luxury hospitality leader with international hotel prowess, Corinne Heyl is the newly appointed general manager of Yacht Club. This adults-only, all-suite elegant hotel embodies refined lakefront leisure. Ms. Heyl has spent more than a decade managing high-end boutique hotels within Relais & Châteaux, a collection of gourmet restaurants, resorts, and villas. Most recently, she was general manager of Weekapaug Inn in Rhode Island, where she led the team to attain Forbes Travel Guide’s Five-Star distinction. Previously, Ms. Heyl was general manager of Blantyre in the Berkshires, Massachusetts, and rooms director at Forbes triple Five-Star Ocean House in Rhode Island. She spent six years as general manager of The White Barn Inn in Maine, following tenures at hotels in Germany. Ms. Heyl earned her degree at the University of Hotel Management in Germany.

Yacht Club’s 112 suites feature private balconies with views of Lake Boca Raton and its yacht-lined promenade. The hotel will reopen in December 2021 with personal concierges and floor valets to curate every detail for an unforgettable experience.

 

Anthony Rico, The Boca Raton Beach Club

With more than two decades leading coveted lifestyle resorts, General Manager Anthony Rico will masterfully oversee Beach Club. This stylish escape redefines oceanfront luxury with modern accommodations, three reimagined pools, private cabanas, and half a mile of private golden beach. Mr. Rico joins The Boca Raton from SLS Baha Mar in the Bahamas, where he was assistant general manager overseeing all day-to-day operations of the hotel brand known for culinary artistry, glamorous design, and unexpected indulgences. Prior to that, Mr. Rico was vice president of operations at Caesars Entertainment Corporation in Las Vegas. Mr. Rico has extensive experience in food and beverage through his tenures at Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas, Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, and Forbes twenty star Sea Island Resort in Georgia. Mr. Rico is a Level II Certified Wine Sommelier.

Featuring 212 rooms and suites, Beach Club recently unveiled two new Mediterranean dining concepts curated by lifestyle guru Colin Cowie. This winter, beach enhancements, unique culinary offerings, events, and nightlife programming will further elevate the guest and member experience at Beach Club.

 

James Carmody, The Boca Raton Cloister, and The Boca Raton Bungalows
A veteran of the hospitality industry with over three decades of experience, James Carmody has been appointed general manager of two of the resort’s Harborside hotels. He will lead the highly anticipated December reopening of the resort’s original landmark structure, Cloister. He will also oversee Bungalows—an extended-stay enclave with spacious two-bedroom suites refreshed with a new interior design. Mr. Carmody comes to The Boca Raton after 17 years at the Boston Seaport Hotel & World Trade Center, where he was vice president and general manager of the hotel and conference center. Prior to that, he spent 11 years in leadership roles in hotel services and real estate for Tufts-New England Medical Center and previously served as hotel manager of the Boston Harbor Hotel. Mr. Carmody was a food & beverage director with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts earlier in his career. He earned his Associate of Occupational Studies at the Culinary Institute of America and his bachelor’s degree in hotel administration and management at Cornell University.

Located in the heart of the estate, Cloister is the resort’s storied hotel with 294 rooms and suites, grand architecture, and hidden gardens, just steps from the 18-hole golf course, Racquet Club and Spa Palmera. The Cloister is currently being revitalized and will reopen in December 2021 with a design that pays homage to its celebrated past, exciting new dining, distinct amenities, and retail experiences.

The gated Bungalows is a boutique, luxury residential hideaway featuring 58 spacious two-bedroom suites with full kitchens, furnished terraces, and balconies—a hotel within a hotel. The suites are undergoing a redesign, which will be unveiled this winter with a new reception lounge, fitness room, and private pool.

 

Antonia Korosec, Resort Operations at The Boca Raton

An authority in the international luxury hospitality and private club industries, Antonia Korosec brings more than 20 years of experience as general manager of resort operations at The Boca Raton. Ms. Korosec will oversee multiple departments that impact the member and guest experience, including recreations, marina, pool and beach, housekeeping, and valet. Most recently, Ms. Korosec was general manager of Ocean House, a Forbes triple Five-Star, Relais & Châteaux property in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. Prior to that, she was Innkeeper overseeing the opening of the nearby Weekapaug Inn in Westerly, Rhode Island. Fluent in French, English, German, and Spanish, Ms. Korosec’s international positions included assistant managing director at Hotel ‘Le Grand Paradis’, an upscale ski resort in Val d’Isere, France, and clubhouse manager at the Yacht Club de Monaco in Monte Carlo, Monaco. She also served as assistant hotel director at Lajitas, The Ultimate Hideout, a Leading Hotel of the World in Lajitas, Texas. Korosec received her Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management from Ecole Hotelier de Lausanne in Switzerland.
