NEW ORLEANS – October 15, 2024 – The Eliza Jane, a Hyatt Unbound Collection hotel, announced today the appointment of Michael Farquharson as managing director. The internationally experienced industry expert will join the leadership team at the historic 196-room boutique hotel where guests can indulge in a luxurious stay and French-inspired dining experiences in the heart of New Orleans.
As Managing Director, Farquharson will oversee all day-to-day hotel operations including guest relations and service at the prestigious on-site food and beverage venues, Couvant and The Press Room. Farquharson brings a global perspective to the property with more than 20 years of international hospitality industry expertise. Prior to joining The Eliza Jane, Farquharson held leadership positions at several renowned Canadian and American properties including The Westin Bayshore in Vancouver, Sheraton Centre in Toronto, Hotel Colee in Atlanta, Canopy by Hilton in Atlanta and more.
