NEW YORK – Feb 14, 2017 –The Knickerbocker Hotel announces the appointment of Karim Abdelhamid to Hotel Manager of the landmark luxury-lifestyle hotel. Effective immediately, Abdelhamid is responsible for managing guest experiences as well as overall operations throughout the 330-room hotel, including the signature restaurant and bar, Charlie Palmer at The Knick; St. Cloud rooftop bar and lounge; ground-level café and eatery, Jake’s Coffee Roasters; and a 2,200-square-foot event space.
“Karim is a natural fit for the Hotel Manager position and brings extensive knowledge of the luxury hospitality industry,” said Holly Breuche, Vice President of Operations at The Knickerbocker. “We are thrilled to welcome such an accomplished and dedicated professional to our team.”
Abdelhamid is a seasoned leader in luxury hospitality operations with nearly two decades of experience. Abdelhamid most recently served as the Resort Manager at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa, where he led the entire operation. Abdelhamid began his career at another historic landmark in New York City, the Plaza Hotel, before holding executive roles in Egypt, Philadelphia and Qatar.
