Business intelligence in the group meetings marketplace to be redefined
Washington, D.C. (Apr.7, 2015) – The Knowland Group, the leading business intelligence provider for the global meetings and events industry, announced today that the company will release Insight 3.1, a powerful and enhanced version of its successful Insight tool . Insight is used by hundreds of hotels to help them strategically identify new group meeting opportunities and help them as they focus their sales efforts in the competitive meetings environment.
“We are very excited about 3.1 which is the first step of a quite aggressive roadmap of development we have planned for this year,” says Tim Hart, President and CEO of The Knowland Group. “Insight has always been a powerful tool used by hotels .It has a strong track record of delivering exceptional value to its customers, and the 3.1 version of Insight enhances its ease of use so that our customers don’t have to do as much of the “heavy lifting” when it comes to finding new – and better – group opportunities. That is a need that we heard from our customers loud and clear, and 3.1 is all about the incorporation of that important user feedback.”
“The meetings eco system is still changing rapidly and our customers are busier than ever keeping up with it. eRFP traffic is increasing, occupancies are on the rise and our customers are demanding access to tools that allow them to be even more strategic about their pursuit of group opportunities that meet their increasingly challenging group forecasts and goals .They also have made it clear that they need tools that are easier to use , and more effective” said Jim VanDevender, Knowland’s Chief Development Officer. “Group leads are only valuable if they fit with a hotel’s needs and can convert to definite groups .The economy in which we are now living requires that our customers be able to identify groups that not only align with their revenue maximization parameters, including need dates, arrival departure patterns, and best of class rooms to space ratio alignment, for example, but that have data associated with them that allow them to quickly , and tactically, connect with decision makers so that conversion ratios are maximized. Insight 3.1 is that tool.”
Knowland’s new Insight 3.1 , which was designed and built by looking at customer usage patterns, listening to comments and questions at the Knowland Help Desk, and taking feedback from current Insight users was beta tested in the first quarter of 2015 and is being released to current Insight users in April 2015.
