“I’m thrilled to be joining the talented team at The Perry as we gear up for an incredibly exciting opening,” said Fromm. “A true hidden gem with so much local charm, Stock Island has such a great story to tell. Throughout its transformation from a shrimper’s haven to a modern travel destination, the area has become a hub for Key West’s creative community. We have exciting plans to introduce amenities and implement on-property programming that showcases authentic aspects of the local Key West culture and the artisanal heartbeat of this historic location.”
Uniquely situated between the mangroves lining Shrimp Road and the new state-of-the-art 220-slip Stock Island Marina, The Perry Hotel Key West will open in March 2017 featuring architecture and design styles that pay homage to the industrial history of the first of Key West’s seven islands and its long tradition of working boatyards, fishing fleets and marinas. In addition to private terraces with water views from every guest room, the property will feature a lush outdoor pool area with private cabanas that overlooks the working waterfront, two “boat to table” seafood-driven restaurants and a variety of outdoor excursion options that range from paddle boarding, kayaking and boating to diving, snorkeling and fishing.
