NEW YORK, NEW YORK (MAY 23, 2022) – The Wall Street Hotel is delighted to announce the appointment of David Sandler as General Manager. Mr. Sandler brings more than a two decades of hospitality experience, specializing in luxury hotel operations and renovations, to his role at the soon-to-open hotel.
Mr. Sandler began his career at Denihan Hospitality Group in 2000 and returned several years later after pursuing roles at Hotel Giraffe, Casablanca Hotel and The Maritime Hotel. Starting in 2005, Sandler held a variety of hospitality positions with Denihan including Director of Rooms, Corporate Operations Manager, Regional General Manager, among others. In 2015, Mr. Sandler was appointed Vice President of Operations and Transitions/ Project General Manager for the rebrand of The Carlton Hotel, an Autograph Collection into The James New York NoMad. Following the opening of that project in 2017, Sandler was appointed General Manager of Hotel 48LEX where he remained for just over two years. Following that experience, Sandler once again returned to Denihan Hospitality Group but this time as a Regional General Manager, responsible for the day-to-day operations of The Benjamin and Fifty Hotel and Suites.

The Wall Street Hotel is housed downtown in the landmark Tontine building on the corner of Water and Wall. Offering 180 rooms that range from comfortable and intimate kings to spacious and luxurious suites, they are all designed to accommodate a range of travelers. The interiors are inspired by classic New York residences, with a light, yet saturated palette that evokes a sense of calm and warmth intended to make guests feel at home. Guests have access to a 24-hour fitness center, curated concierge services, restaurant, lobby lounge, and bar.
