NEW YORK, NY – March 5, 2018 – The William Vale, the multi-use destination located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, proudly welcomes Deanna Thomas as the Director of Sales and Marketing. Thomas joins the team with over a decade of boutique and luxury hotel management expertise, with a concentration in sales marketing specifically. Thomas will be responsible in directing the overall day-to-day operations, overseeing the sales and marketing divisions and ensuring that the hotel exceeds sales quotas and occupancy goals.
“With Deanna’s previous sales and operational management experience in two robust cities, New York City and Chicago, we are confident that she will help strengthen the presence of our overall brand, by utilizing leadership and strategy skills that have proven to be successful in launching five hotels,” said David Lemmond, General Manager of The William Vale. “We are looking forward to the positive changes and strategy Deanna plans to implement to help further increase sales, revenue, development and success at Williamsburg, Brooklyn’s latest destination.”
Thomas has previously managed numerous high-profile hotels including The Gotham and The Highline in New York City (NYC) and was most recently the U.S. Regional Director of Sales for Grupo Habita where she oversaw the day-to-day operations for Hotel Americano in NYC and assisted with the opening of The Robey and The Hollander, two of Chicago’s most recent properties. Within six months in her position, Thomas brought in well-known accounts, handled sales and revenue for the boutique property, while managing and growing the brand’s existing markets—corporate, transient, group and entertainment. She was able to successfully sell the entire Grupa Habita collection in Mexico.
“Given my personal experience and success in hotel openings and boutique properties, The William Vale was the perfect fit for me,” said Thomas. The team here is one I would’ve hired myself if I was here prior, and I am looking forward to establishing these relationships as well as those within the local community.”
Thomas is an alumnus of Michigan State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Logistics, Material and Supply Chain Management. She is a yoga enthusiast and currently resides on the Upper East Side with her ‘two pets,’ or what she likes to call her boyfriend and dog.
