With nearly two decades of luxury hospitality experience, Henar Gil Rios brings international gravitas to her role as General Manager at Thompson Playa del Carmen. Fluent in four languages and a native of Spain, Gil Rios is a true citizen of the world, having lived and worked in the United States, France, Asia and Mexico. Equally well-versed in superior service, Gil Rios honed her skills at an elite roster of hotels including Four Seasons Mexico City and Banyan Tree Seychelles Spa & Resort, Rosewood Mayakoba & Taaras Beach & Spa Resort in Malaysia where she helped rebrand the barefoot luxury property with award-winning, five-star results.
Across the globe, Gil Rios has been instrumental in elevating hotel standards with a precise guest in mind: modern travelers seeking style and authenticity. Having held positions in various levels of hotel service throughout her eighteen year career, from the front desk to the concierge, Gil Rios brings an in-depth working knowledge of the hospitality industry to Thompson Playa del Carmen.
