Oct. 11–Azerbaijan and Pakistan could cooperate more closely in the hotel industry in order to significantly increase the incomes of economies, well-known Pakistani public figure Muhammad Asif Noor told Trend Oct. 11.
Asif Noor noted that there are a number of leading companies in Pakistan which are interested in implementing joint business projects with Azerbaijan in the hotel industry.
"The hotel business is considered one of the most profitable sectors of economy, especially for the economies of those countries where optimal conditions have been created for the implementation of projects that have economic feasibility. In this sense, Azerbaijan meets all the criteria for joint business," he said.
"Today, two leading Pakistani companies engaged in tourism, are interested in the implementation of a joint hotel business. These companies are the Tabani Group and the Hashoo Group, whose role in the development of the tourism industry of Pakistan is very significant," Asif Noor said.
He went on to add that he considers such an idea to be promising, which can be implemented not only in Baku, but also in other regions attractive for tourists.
"Establishing such hotels in the resort areas of Gabala, Guba, Shamakhi, Zagatala, Sheki, where the largest number of tourists flow not only in the summer, but also in the winter season, can increase income, he said.
Asif Noor noted that the creation of this kind of joint business also implies familiarization with Pakistani national cuisine.
"This would be an excellent opportunity to present well-known Pakistani dishes in Azerbaijan," he added.
