HOMEWOOD, Ala. – September 29, 2020 – Valor Hospitality Partners announced today plans to open The Valley Hotel, a 129-room luxury hotel in the heart of idyllic and quaint downtown Homewood, Ala. in January 2021. A Curio Collection by Hilton™ hotel, The Valley Hotel offers a modern retreat infused with an independent spirit that blends Southern charm and contemporary lifestyle. Just minutes away from bustling downtown Birmingham, the new property will feature spacious rooms, an upscale chef-driven restaurant, a signature café and over 7,000 square feet of meetings and event space.
Nestled along Homewood’s main thoroughfare, amidst an unparalleled, walkable retail and culinary scene, The Valley Hotel will offer a neighborhood feel that mimics Homewood’s bucolic environment. The property will feature 129 spacious guestrooms with nine luxury suites that evoke Homewood’s relaxed sophistication and vibrant environment through a rich color scheme and thoughtful design elements. Rooms will offer a place of respite for urban travelers and space to enjoy time with family and friends with premium amenities and comfortable furnishings, including original artwork by local photographers.
The Valley Hotel is the first luxury lifestyle hotel in the area with an in-house chef-centric concept restaurant. Paying homage to Birmingham’s industrial heritage, Ironwood Kitchen + Cocktails is an upscale restaurant that will utilize simple and honest food to reimagine Southern comfort staples into the ultimate feast for the senses. Ironwood Kitchen + Cocktails will be complemented by the Terrace Bar, offering original craft cocktails and even a hard seltzer or two. In addition to Ironwood, the property will feature a signature café, serving specialty craft coffee and locally sourced food items.
The luxury property will also cater to corporate groups, weddings and other social events with 7,000 square feet of meetings and event space with coveted al fresco options. The property’s Red Mountain Ballroom is customizable for events and will offer an adjacent pre-function space. The over 400 square foot Vulcan Boardroom and nearly 1,000 square foot Shades Creek Room, an exquisite breakout room with natural light, will complete the event space.
“With its beautiful landscape, burgeoning art and creative scene and charming, tight-knit community, Homewood is one of the best places to visit,” said Danny Hiatt, regional director and general manager at The Valley Hotel. “Our team is looking forward to opening our doors in this city and offering a sophisticated, yet comfortable place to stay and dine, while guests explore the unique area that’s just outside their room doors.”
The Valley Hotel will be located at 2727 18th Street S. in Homewood, Ala., providing guests with easy access to explore Homewood’s unique culture, local shops, art galleries and golf courses, as well as the neighboring University of Alabama at Birmingham campus, Red Mountain Park and downtown Birmingham.
