New programs designed to make vacation planning and arrival hassle-free

Islands of Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico [June 17, 2015] – Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto has reinvented the timeshare and hotel check-in process. Guests can now completely bypass the front desk and head straight to their room, or pool if they prefer.

Launched last month, Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto’s pre check-in process allows travelers to be whisked up to their room as soon as they arrive at the resort.

“At Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto, we feel that vacation time is too important to be spent waiting in line,” said Owen Perry, co-owner and president of Villa Group. “If we can help guests bypass the normal check-in process and be lounging poolside or out kayaking within minutes of arriving at Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto, we consider that a job well done.”

The program allows travelers to check-in online from the comfort of their own homes prior to their vacation in order to skip the check-in line when they arrive. The online check-in process takes a mere three minutes.

As part of the process, once guests make a reservation, they receive a confirmation with a checklist of items necessary to check-in, as they would when they reach the front desk. The resort inputs this information into their system and provides a pre check-in code prior to their arrival. Guests also have the opportunity to share any dietary restrictions or if they are celebrating a special occasion.

Once guests arrive at the resort, a bellboy will have their room keys (which are actually wristbands with waterproof smart chip technology) ready and waiting, so that travelers bypass the lobby and head directly to their suites, relaxing and enjoying all that the magical Islands of Loreto have to offer.

“The pre check-in service was wonderful,” said guest Stanley Jones. “Being met at the door upon arrival and walked directly to our room was the perfect way to begin our vacation. The wristband access to our room was also convenient and appreciated.”

In addition to the pre check-in program, the resort offers a pre-arrival Personal Concierge program in which guests can book all activities and services for their vacation prior to their arrival, as an extension of the traditional concierge service.

As soon as guests or timeshare owners make a reservation at Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto, they are assigned their own personal concierge to ensure they make the most of their time at the resort.

The Personal Concierge calls guests 90 days before they arrive to congratulate them on their upcoming vacation and learns their likes and dislikes. From there, the Personal Concierge helps arrange transportation to and from the airport, and assists in planning activities, such as spa services at the award-winning 39,000-square-foot Sabila Spa, dining reservations at the resort’s three restaurants, water activities such as SCUBA diving, sport fishing, island hopping tours, sunset boat rides, kayaking, and more, all based on guests’ preferences. Soon, the Personal Concierge will also arrange golf experiences, once the 7,400-yard Rees Jones-designed golf course overlooking the breathtaking Danzante Bay and the Sea of Cortez opens this fall.

This service allows owners and guests to get their questions answered, receive recommendations, add special touches for memorable celebrations, and plan the perfect trip in advance, which has also boosted guest satisfaction.

Resort guests can also take advantage of a new online Vacation Planner to schedule vacation activities, effortlessly creating a one-of-kind adventure for the entire family. With this service, the Personal Concierge will contact guests to reserve adventures, make additional personalized recommendations, and answer any questions.
