BOULDER, CO – [January 29, 2024] The Nichols Partnership and BMC Investments, in collaboration with Vision Hospitality Group, announce the anticipated debut of the Moxy Boulder located in Boulder, Colorado. The long-anticipated Moxy Boulder is slated to open early in the second quarter of 2024 and will mark the first hotel to open in Boulder since 2018. Moxy Hotels, a part of Marriott Bonvoy’s Distinctive Select portfolio, offer a playful hotel experience that steps outside of a conventional hotel stay and promotes a social center to both locals and adventure seeking travelers. Moxy Boulder, located at 1253 Pleasant Street, is strategically situated directly across from the University of Colorado to act as a vibrant hub for the city of Boulder and university community.
The Moxy Boulder will offer 189 thoughtfully designed rooms featuring over 5,300 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and an active lobby. This lobby includes a Moxy Bar and lounge area where hotel guests are greeted with a ‘Got Moxy’ cocktail or mocktail at check-in and food offerings partnered with the Culinary Creative Group. The property features an incredible walk-through courtyard open to the public, featuring 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Anchored by Michelin Bib-Gourmand award winner, Mister Oso and Aviano Coffee. The outdoor lounge spaces will have fire pits, and comfortable seating, creating a perfect setting for guests to relax and unwind. The hotel will be managed by Vision Hospitality Group of Chattanooga, TN.
“Launching the Moxy Boulder hotel near the University of Colorado is a meaningful 9-year endeavor for The Nichols Partnership and BMC Investments. This project is an excellent example of our strategy to target A+ locations, with high barriers to entry and quantifiable demand generators,” says Randy Nichols, CEO of The Nichols Partnership. “We are excited to be partnering with Vision Hospitality Group to thrill guests with a well-designed hotel and experiential service in the heart of Boulder and the University of Colorado.”
“We are thrilled to be partnering with The Nichols Partnership and BMC Investments on another Moxy project in this highly desirable location,” says Mitch Patel, President & CEO of Vision Hospitality Group. “The Moxy Hotel is poised to be a beacon of creativity and style, reflecting Vision’s commitment to excellence in every facet of hospitality.
