Nashville, Tenn. – W Nashville, the luxury lifestyle hotel nestled in the Gulch, recently hired William Friedrichs as the director of beverage and food for the property. In his new role, Friedrichs is responsible for leading all food and beverage operations and activations for W Nashville.
“We are thrilled to welcome Will to the team as director of beverage and food,” says General Manager David Cronin. “Will has had a hand in opening and managing some of the most iconic luxury hotels throughout his career, and we are lucky to have him at W Nashville.”
Friedrichs assumes his role as director of beverage and food with more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry and more than 10 years at the director level. He has made a splash in the Nashville culinary community over the last five years, previously serving as the director of food and beverage for The Harpeth Hotel in Franklin, Tennessee and general manager of food and beverage operations for Noelle. Prior to this, Friedrichs was on the opening teams for The Knickerbocker and Rainbow Room in New York City, as well as The Dewberry in Charleston, South Carolina.
“It is a privilege to step into this new role and help create luxury hospitality experiences for Nashville visitors and locals,” says Friedrichs. “My career has taken me to many beautiful cities and scenic places, but there’s an exciting evolution happening here in Music City, and W Nashville feels like the absolute right place to be.”
Originally from Sydney, Australia, Friedrichs was inspired to join the hospitality industry after seeing his father perform in hotels as a musician. He later went on to study business administration and management at University of Sydney. From there, he got his start in the industry with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in Australia, The Joule Hotel in Dallas and Princess Cruises.
