August 23, 2018, Boca Raton, Fla.— Waramaug Hospitality, in a joint venture with an institutional investor, announced today the acquisition of the Hilton Garden Inn Albuquerque Airport and Homewood Suites by Hilton Albuquerque Airport.
The 107-room Hilton Garden Inn’s guestrooms provide the comforts of home including a microwave, refrigerator, and complimentary Wi-Fi. The property also features a 24-hour business center, heated indoor pool, fitness center, and cooked-to-order breakfast at the Garden Grille & Bar. The 93-room Homewood Suites by Hilton offers studio, one-bedroom or two-bedroom suites with granite countertops, dark hardwood floors, fully equipped kitchens with a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, and two-burner range. The property features a hot complimentary breakfast, complimentary Wi-Fi, business center, fitness season and heated seasonal pool with whirlpool. Waramaug is planning a renovation of both properties this year.
“The Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites are premier properties in the airport submarket, the strongest in the metropolitan area,” said Craig Nussbaum of Waramaug. “The Albuquerque region as a whole has shown continued growth with the revitalization of the downtown area as well as a significant amount of new development outside of the urban core. We are pleased to add these premium Hilton-branded hotels to our portfolio.”
In addition to their airport proximity, both properties are close to The University of New Mexico, Old Town Albuquerque, Historic Route 66, Nob Hill Shopping District, and Kirtland Airforce Base.
Terrapin Investments and Management Corp., of Aspen, Colorado, has been retained to manage the hotels.
