February 18, 2016, Boca Raton, FL— Waramaug Hospitality III LLC and Sidra Real Estate, Inc. have acquired the Chicago Marriott Southwest at Burr Ridge, in Burr Ridge, Illinois.
The 184-room full-service hotel features over 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space for up to 900 guests, along with the popular Ciazza Restaurant & Bar. Amenities include an indoor swimming pool, fitness center and business center.
“Burr Ridge is an attractive and upscale market with a broad customer base,” said Paul Stern, Principal of Waramaug. “We see significant upside in this hotel following the completion of our capital program.”
Chicago Marriott Southwest is situated next to two lakes and is within walking distance to the 250,000 square foot Burr Ridge Village Center, a lifestyle center featuring dozens of shops, restaurants, and nearly 200 residences. It also offers easy proximity to McCormick Place, one of the nation’s premier convention centers, and is a short distance from both Midway Airport and O’Hare Airport.
Waramaug is planning a transformational renovation to the property, including all public areas, guestrooms, meeting spaces and restaurant. Interstate Hotels & Resorts will manage the property.
