LABRELOTTE BAY, Saint Lucia (Nov. 17, 2016) – Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort (www.windjammer-landing.com), in Saint Lucia, has appointed industry-veteran Scott Seger as the resort’s new Managing Director.
As Managing Director, Seger will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Windjammer Landing as well as overseeing the marketing and sales efforts of the resort where more than US$40 million has been invested in renovations over the last two years. Seger will lead a dedicated team of 460 employees, many of whom have been with the resort for over 20 years.
“While this is a bittersweet transition with the passing of our leader Mark Ozawa, I am honored to serve as the resort’s new Managing Director,” said Seger.
“I will give everything I have to make sure Windjammer Landing continues to offer the ultimate vacation experience with the personal dedication and service for which we are renowned to our valued guests,” he added.
Prior to being named Managing Director, Seger served on the resort’s Executive Board as well the resort’s Director of Food and Beverage where he was responsible for all of the hotel’s food service operations including five on-property restaurants, overseeing room service, as well as playing a key role in facilitating resort events, weddings, and corporate meetings.
With an extensive background in hospitality, Seger brings more than 20 years of experience with some of the world’s finest hotels and resorts. Seger joined Windjammer Landing earlier this year following his tenure with Hyatt Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs, Florida, where he served as Director of Food and Beverage for four years. Prior to Hyatt Coconut Point Resort, Seger was Director of Food and Beverage at several other well-renown and high-end properties, including Haig Point Resort & Golf Club in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; Canyon Ranch Health Resort & Spa in Lenox, Massachusetts; and the Renaissance Grand Beach Resort in St. Thomas.
