Wichita, Kan., October 29, 2015—WoodSpring Hotels, the nation’s fastest growing, extended-stay hotel company, today announced an agreement with a development group headed by Karnail and Kanwarjit Singh to build the next WoodSpring Suites hotel in West Monroe, La. The 124-unit hotel will be first WoodSpring Suites located in Louisiana and is expected to start construction in 1Q 2016.
“As evidenced by their very successful portfolio of five hotels from Dallas to New Orleans, Karnail and Kanwarjit Singh are experienced hoteliers and the ideal partners to help us launch the WoodSpring Suites brand in Louisiana. Our highly efficient operating model and focus on the bottom line allow us to attract top developers such as the Singhs as WoodSpring Suites adds to its already robust development pipeline,” said Ron Burgett, executive vice president of franchise development for WoodSpring Hotels.
Once completed, the hotel will feature such guest amenities as free high-speed internet, guest laundry facilities, in-room kitchens in each guestroom and the cleanliness, safety and affordability that the WoodSpring Suites brand provides to every guest. These are all part of the brand’s “It’s Simple. Done Better.” brand promise.
WoodSpring Hotels, which experienced record growth in 2014, is focused on strategic expansion across the U.S. through corporate- and franchise-owned development. The company expects to break ground on more than 30 additional properties over the next six months. Expansion plans through 2017 include the addition of corporate and franchised properties in major metropolitan markets such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Seattle, Miami, Portland and Minneapolis.
