Urgo Hotels Celebrates Opening of Hilton Brooklyn New York with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

New York, N.Y. — Dec. 7, 2016 — Hilton Brooklyn New York officially opened its doors on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016 with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting by the hotel's owners, Mick Walsdorf and Ken Copeland (left) of Flank Architecture + Development; Don Urgo Sr. (center-right), president of Urgo Hotels & Resorts, the hotel's management company; and General Manager Joe Rosanio (right). The new hotel stands on a historic site that had been a 1,200-foot, two-block-long rope factory owned by Peter Schermerhorn in the 19th century.
