May 2022, Nantucket, MA - Little Gem Resorts, a family-owned collection of boutique island resorts with award-winning properties on Martha’s Vineyard, MA; Nantucket, MA; and St. John, USVI, is pleased to announce that, Urmas Karner, has been named the collection’s newest general manager at The Nantucket Hotel. Karner’s initial hotel posting was at the 1,700 room New York's Hotel Pennsylvania. Now closed, it was the world's largest hotel when it opened in 1919.
