03 March 2020, London: Total European hotel transaction volume reached the highest annual level ever recorded last year – with €27.1 billion-worth of deals being struck, according to the annual European Hotel Transactions report published this week by HVS and its brokerage and investment services division HVS Hodges Ward Elliott. The largest amount of capital was poured into the UK with some €5.3 billion (£4.4 billion) - 23% of total volumes, a 15% decrease on the previous year.
