Int. 991 will damage hotel and tourism industry, force thousands to lose their jobs and harm New York’s economy NEW YORK (Sept. 12, 2024) – Today, over one thousand hotel owners, workers, and small business owners, as part of the newly formed Protect NYC Tourism Coalition, rallied on the steps of City Hall to fight against the City Council’s so-called “Safe Hotels” bill.
