Water Street Tampa plans hotel-branded condos above luxury Marriott Edition

Aug. 29--TAMPA -- The $3 billion Water Street Tampa said Thursday it will develop the city's first hotel-branded condominiums with The Residences at the Tampa Edition. The 46 condominiums will occupy the top 15 floors of a 26-story tower with a 173-room Marriott Edition luxury hotel at its base. Construction on the Edition hotel and condominiums, located at the northwest corner of Channelside Drive and Water Street, across the street from Amalie Arena, is expected to begin in early 2019 with sales launching in early 2020 and an opening in the spring of 2021.
