April 24, 2024 – PORTSMOUTH, NH As seen in the Q1 2024 U.S. Hotel Construction Pipeline Trend Report from Lodging Econometrics (LE), at the end of the first quarter, there are 6,065 projects with 702,990 rooms in the pipeline. This new all-time high represents a 9% year-over-year (YOY) increase in projects and a 7% YOY increase in rooms compared to last year. The details can be seen directly within the stages of the pipeline, which all saw YOY growth in Q1. U.S. Hotel Construction Pipeline Up 7% Year-Over-Year with a 20% Increase in New Supply Forecast for 2017

According to a recent report by Lodging Econometrics (LE), the U.S. Construction Pipeline stands at 4,973 Projects/598,371 Rooms, with projects up 7% Year-Over-Year (YOY). There are 1,520 Projects/198,710 Rooms Under Construction, up 10% YOY, and are the highest counts recorded this cycle. Projects Scheduled to Start Construction in the Next 12 Months, at 2,312 Projects/264,924 Rooms, are up 5% YOY. Projects in Early Planning are at 1,141 Projects/134,737 Rooms and are up 8%, YOY. New York and Houston Have Most Robust Hotel Construction Pipelines

June 9, 2016 – PORTSMOUTH, NH - Lodging Econometrics reports that the five U.S. markets with the largest hotel construction pipelines by project count are New York with 187 projects, Houston with 169, Dallas with 128, Los Angeles with 94 and, new to the top five, Nashville with 89 projects. Marriott International has the most pipeline projects of any franchise company in four of these markets with 30 in New York, 29 in Dallas, 18 in Los Angeles and 20 in Nashville. In Houston, however, Intercontinental Hotels Group has 46 projects. ...
