El Paso, Texas — October 31, 2019 — Hersha Hospitality Management (HHM) Group today announced that Amy Hussmann has been named director of sales at The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park, scheduled to open in early 2020 in downtown El Paso, Texas. Ms. Hussmann currently serves as a lead on the property’s pre-opening team, dedicated to beautifully restoring the historic, 19-floor boutique hotel that dates back to the 1930s, owned by Mills Plaza Properties II LP, a Paul Foster company.
“Amy’s enthusiasm for El Paso is articulated by her deep involvement in the community, and coupled with her expertise in hospitality and real estate; and we are proud to have her lead the sales team as The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park reclaims its place in history,” said HHM Regional Director of Sales & Marketing Jenni Gaherty.
Ms. Hussmann moved to El Paso in 1985 and has achieved over 30 years of experience in the hospitality and sales industries. She has served as director of sales for Westin Paso del Norte, Residence Inn and Embassy Suites. In 2002, Ms. Hussmann became general manager of the Coronado Country Club which she ran for nearly 10 years. Prior to her return to the hospitality industry in 2017, she was the division director for Associa, an international Home Owners Association Management Company.
Ms. Hussmann earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Austin College. She is a member of the El Paso Chamber and the El Paso Hotel & Lodging Association, and also holds a real estate license.
