Expected to join the Curio Collection by Hilton portfolio this year, the early 19th century property will represent Hilton’s first hotel in Old San Juan
MCLEAN, Va. and San Juan, Puerto Rico – Hilton (NYSE: HLT) today announced the signing of an agreement to welcome Palacio Provincial to Curio Collection by Hilton. Owned by Hostal El Convento and managed by International Hospitality Enterprises (IHE), the esteemed Palacio Provincial Hotel in Old San Juan will join a global portfolio of more than 160 distinct, upper-upscale hotels and resorts under the Curio Collection by Hilton brand and will represent Hilton’s debut in the historic city.
Located within the Old San Juan Historic District, the oldest European settlement in Puerto Rico and the United States, the 43-room boutique hotel is incomparably situated in the heart of the city inside an early 19th century building full of rich diplomatic history dating back to 1838. In 2021, Palacio Provincial opened its doors following a meticulous restoration to usher in a new era for this historic gem, combining timeless elegance with modern luxury.

Palacio Provincial’s culinary offerings include an oasis-like courtyard restaurant, Consular Restaurant & Bar, and the Atelier Rooftop Terrace, one of the newest venues in Old San Juan providing remarkable views of San Juan Bay and the Colonial city.
