ATLANTA (June 28, 2024) — Hunter Hotel Advisors (“HUNTER”) today announced the successful sale of the Courtyard Atlanta Buford Mall of Georgia. An institutional seller sold the property to McKibbon Income Fund I (“McKibbon”) for an undisclosed price on June 27, 2024. David Perrin, senior vice president out of HUNTER’s Atlanta office, facilitated the transaction.

“We’re excited to be expanding our footprint in the Atlanta Metro with the purchase of Courtyard Buford,” said Matthew Ram, senior vice president of acquisitions at McKibbon. “It’s been a challenging transaction market over the last few years and we are pleased to have acquired a high quality newer-vintage Courtyard at an attractive basis.”

Conveniently located off I-85, the 110-key Courtyard Atlanta Buford Mall of Georgia is steps away from the Mall of Georgia, one of the largest shopping destinations in the southeast which houses over 225 stores. The hotel is situated near the Gas South Arena, a popular event venue which sees over 900,000 people every year, as well as Lake Lanier, Chateau Elan Winery and Downtown Atlanta, where visitors can enjoy the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola and more.

“We’re pleased to have arranged the sale of an asset that was so close to home,” said Perrin. “Despite the difficult transaction landscape, it was a pleasure working with McKibbon and we look forward to seeing their plans unfold for this exceptional property.”

Built in 2009, the 5-story hotel offers an indoor pool, fitness center and on-site dining experience for guests.
