What Was the Situation?
Madrona Manor approached GCommerce with an objective: to redesign the look and feel of Madrona Manor’s online presence focusing on the property’s incredible location. Set among the vines and woods in the heart of one of the best winemaking regions in the world with miles of breathtaking landscapes that blend romance and style, Madrona Manor needed a new user-friendly online experience for their past and future guests.
What Did We Do?
With any major undertaking, the process began with a thorough discovery session between the GCommerce and Madrona Manor teams in order to identify the objectives and goals of the property. Moving forward, GCommerce would aim to identify the long-term sustainable competitive advantages of the property to provide focus and direction during the creative design process. GCommerce would also look to understand and identify the experience provided by Madrona Manor and determine exactly what made Madrona Manor truly special.
Once the creative inspiration and project objectives were established, GCommerce moved forward by creating a custom design for the property that would deliver the online presentation and experience of Madrona Manor. Vivid, full-width imagery was incorporated to illustrate the breathtaking scenery that surrounds this beautiful property. Additional focus was placed on the Weddings section of Madrona Manor’s website to illustrate the property’s ability to host memorable weddings and to truly embody the experience a bride may have on the most important day of her life.
In addition to providing a look and feel that exuded excellence, the new site featured functionality that provided a snap-navigation delivering ease of use and booking for the user, allowing for increased conversion. Based on analytic data and an internal review, GCommerce looked to improve the overall user experience by incorporating an easy-to-navigate main menu.
Capitalizing on Madrona Manor’s increasing mobile traffic visitation, and to ensure a great user experience, GCommerce utilized a responsive design that adapts the presentation and content delivered based upon the visitor’s device type and screen size. Additionally, this responsive design capitalizes on Google’s recent public announcement and update to its search algorithm that it will reward sites that are mobile user-friendly and punish those that are not.
