What was once The Dolphin Inn is now Hotel Carmel – located at the corner of 4th & San Carlos Street. The doors are expected to open in spring 2016. Other acqusitions and developments made by Classic Hotels & Resorts include the $1.5 million surfer chic Laguna Beach House renovation, and the 75-room La Playa Hotel (also in Carmel-by-the-Sea) – a $3.5 million restoration project, upgrading all rguest rooms, suites and public space. Classic's property giant is The Arizona Grand Resort in Phoenix, with 744 suites, a 7 acre private water park, an award winning fitness center, golf course and more.
