DALLAS – Oct. 12, 2017 – UniFocus is adding hyper-converged infrastructure to its data center, underscoring its commitment to provide its partners with the industry’s best-performing workforce management solutions. The Dallas-based organization is deploying Dell EMC VxRail Appliances – a significant investment that will translate into faster, more agile performance for users of its industry-leading LMS.
“Hyper-converged infrastructure represents a substantial technological leap for data centers,” said UniFocus Director of Infrastructure Mike Estes. “UniFocus is adopting the technology early so that our clients gain the benefits of its superior performance as soon as possible.”
The Dell EMC VxRail offers a number of advantages over the traditional virtualized server and storage architecture, and is the only such solution on the market to come fully integrated, preconfigured, pre-tested and co-engineered with VMware. It consolidates compute, storage, virtualization and management functions and scales linearly, supporting from 40 VMs to thousands – a vital capability for UniFocus, which supports thousands of locations across the globe, and continues to accommodate steady growth.
“The upgrade will be a seamless one for clients, with no adjustments required on their end,” added Estes. “Once the new infrastructure is deployed, they will simply experience a notably improved, faster performance when they use our solutions.”
“Dell EMC VxRail is the industry’s top hyper-converged infrastructure appliance option for customers looking to simplify their data centers in VMware environments,” said Colin Gallagher, senior director, product marketing, Dell EMC VxRail. “Today, VxRail Appliances host a wide variety of critical workloads for customers of all sizes, while offering the ease of deployment, management and scale to keep pace as business needs grow.”
In addition to VxRail, UniFocus is investing in its disaster recovery capabilities with the purchase of Dell EMC Avamar, Data Domain and RecoverPoint products.
“Whether it’s adding and refining the solutions we offer or investing in new technology that makes those tools perform better, UniFocus is committed to providing our partners with every advantage in their pursuit of an optimized workforce,” said Mark Heymann, UniFocus’ founding partner and CEO.
