Orlando, Florida, November 2014 – The American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) has signed an international partner agreement with Aariana Hospitality International, a new hospitality management company in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The company offers management services, technical services, procurement, and training services, including pre-opening, performance management, and talent development.
Aariana Hospitality International’s executive team has more than 100 years of hotel experience and is led by president and CEO Reginald T. Pereira. Pereira was the CEO of the Malaysian Association Hotels, a position he held for seven years, and he was responsible for guiding Stamford College in Malaysia to become the largest private school of hospitality management with more than 1,000 students. A long-time AHLEI partner, Pereira was the 2007 recipient of AHLEI’s Lamp of Knowledge Award for Outstanding International Educator.
“As my partnership with AHLEI goes back more than 20 years, it is indeed an honor for Aariana Hospitality International to be a new partner with AHLEI in Malaysia, and I am pleased that we are able to work together again,” said Pereira. “I must thank AHLEI president Robert Steele and Ed Kastli, vice president, international sales, for taking a personal interest in this partnership and making it a reality.”
Aariana Hospitality International plans to promote the Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP®) and Certified Hospitality Revenue Manager (CHRM®) certification designations, as well as the Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA®) designation to its clients. Pereira noted that he also hopes to assist AHLEI with establishing additional new partnerships in Malaysia.
