Stadium Deploys InfoGenesis™ Flex as Mobile POS to Boost Efficiency, Guest Service
ALPHARETTA, GA. – May 13, 2015 – Agilysys, Inc. (Nasdaq: AGYS), a leading global provider of next-generation hospitality software solutions and services, today announced that American Airlines Center in Dallas has selected the InfoGenesis Flex™ mobile point-of-sale system for more streamlined food and beverage service. American Airlines Center, which is one of the busiest stadiums in the United States, has used the InfoGenesis POS system, the foundation for InfoGenesis Flex, since it opened in 2001.
InfoGenesis Flex is a mobile point-of-sale solution built around the industry-leading InfoGenesis POS system. The solution, which offers full point-of-sale functionality delivered on Dell® Venue Pro™ tablets, allows servers to be more attentive to guest needs and accept payments anywhere on property, resulting in higher order volumes and increased revenue per server. The solution also gives managers complete access to all InfoGenesis tools so they can oversee operations ‘on-the-go’ and make immediate service adjustments as demand ebbs and flows.
“InfoGenesis Flex loads our entire POS item database, which enables us to use the solution anywhere throughout the venue,” said Joe Heinlein, IT director at American Airlines Center. “Although we primarily plan to use the system for in-seat service on our premium levels, it adapts well to almost any type of situation, so that we can deploy it in our concession areas when needed. It’s the next step in the advancement of customer engagement, allowing us to speed food and beverage delivery and enhance the guest experience.”
As an enterprise solution, InfoGenesis Flex is scalable to hundreds of mobile devices in a single location. A consistent InfoGenesis interface allows staff to seamlessly switch from terminals to mobile tablets across the venue. It supports Apple Pay and NFC contactless ‘tap and go’ credit card payments, as well as a wide range of USB peripherals. An innovative tablet stand easily converts to a portable terminal to address peak volumes and special events.
“InfoGenesis Flex is a powerful solution that addresses two of the biggest concerns of large venues — convenience and speed of service,” said Jim Walker, vice president of sales at Agilysys. “The system will enable American Airlines Center to streamline food and beverage delivery, even in the most challenging situations. As a result, the venue will create lasting connections with guests and build customer loyalty. We are thrilled the company is expanding its partnership with us and look forward to working with them to implement our mobile POS system.”
Designed by architectural wizard David M. Schwarz and Dallas-based HKS, Inc., American Airlines Center is considered one of the nation’s top arenas. Since opening its doors in 2001, the venue has set a precedent for sporting and live entertainment events, bringing in a variety of big-name shows as well as being home to both the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars. In 2014, Venues Today magazine named American Airlines Center the fourth busiest arena in the United States and ninth busiest in the world.
