The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, December 2020… BENCHMARK®, a global hospitality company, has named Robert E. Booth director of sales and marketing for The Equinox Golf Resort & Spa, a Gemstone Collection property located in Manchester Village, Vermont. Jay Sheldon, Benchmark’s general manager at the resort, made the announcement.
“I am very pleased to welcome Rob to Benchmark and to The Equinox,” said Mr. Sheldon. “He brings first rate sales leadership experience to the resort and will be an important part of the property’s success going forward, and actively serve on our executive team.”
Robert Booth previously held the position of director of sales & events for Paloma Resort Properties of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, providing sales leadership for the Geneva National Resort & Club and The Ridge hotel. He has served as director of group & corporate sales for PGA Tour Experiences of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, working with multiple properties and providing leadership to the company’s group and leisure sales teams.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Booth held sales leadership positions for The Inn at Palmetto Bluff of Bluffton, South Carolina, and also for The Greenbrier Classic PGA TOUR event, promoting and implementing strategic partnerships with major consumer, financial and insurance brands and working actively with the landmark Greenbrier Resort.
Robert Booth is a graduate of the University of North Florida where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Education degree, and of Georgia State University where he received his Master of Science in Sports Marketing degree. He is relocating to the Manchester Village area with his family.
