Miami (October 2, 2024) – EAST Miami is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Zarzosa as the new Executive Chef. He will oversee all aspects of the culinary operation for the hotel, including Quinto, Sugar, Tea Room, Domain, as well as the banquet.
Chef Andrew Zarzosa joined EAST Miami with an impressive track record in the culinary world. His career spans over 15 years, during which he has developed a reputation for delivering extraordinary international dining experiences at some of the most prestigious hotels and restaurants in Asia, the Middle East, and the United States. Chef Zarzosa’s career highlights include significant positions at Atlantis, Fairmont Raffles Hotels International, Shangri-La and most recently, Four Seasons.
A Miami native, Chef Zarzosa’s culinary journey started from a young age helping his grandmother in the kitchen preparing traditional Mexican food. After high school, he enrolled in art school, thinking a career as an artist awaited him, however after spending some time at a well-established resort in Bal Harbour, Florida as an apprentice, he discovered the art in cooking and worked his way up to the role of Sous Chef. In 2005, Chef Zarzosa took on his first international posting, becoming the Head Chef at Atlantis in the Bahamas. Prior to joining EAST, Chef Zarzosa held the Director of Culinary position at Four Seasons, overseeing the opening of the Fort Lauderdale location.
