Indian Wells, Calif. – July 9, 2021 – Miramonte Resort & Spa in Indian Wells continues to fill out its executive team with the addition of Ajit Acharya as General Manager. The resort reopened in February under the management of new owners CoralTree Hospitality after a nearly yearlong pandemic-related shutdown.

Acharya is a seasoned hospitality professional with more than 20 years of management expertise at luxury properties. Most recently serving as Club Manager for the prestigious Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, California, he comes to Miramonte Resort & Spa to focus on building and growing the resort’s leadership and operations team and guiding the property through an upcoming $9 million room refresh project later this summer to match the common area, patio, pool, dining and lounge upgrades completed over the last four years.

Prior to his position at Old Ranch, Acharya spent more than six years as both Director of Hotel Operations and Director of Food and Beverage at The Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach, California. During his tenure he was actively involved in the completion of $160 million worth of expansion projects and operations of the property’s high end restaurant, lounge, lobby bar and dining departments.

“Ajit’s extensive expertise in management, hiring, training and coaching will be invaluable to our property as we continue to evolve our amenities and experiences,” said April Shute, Vice President & Area Managing Director for CoralTree Hospitality. “His proven track record in operations and construction, as well as the ability to transform high-potential associates into leaders will factor heavily into the resort’s continued future success,” Shute added.

In addition to his time with Old Ranch and Waterfront Beach Resort, Acharya has served in operations and management positions at several well-known luxury properties including Fantasy Springs Resort and Casino, La Costa Resort and Spa, La Quinta Resort and Club and The Broadmoor Hotel and Resort in Colorado Springs. He holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a specialization in Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management from the University of Denver.

The resort plans to announce additional executive team appointments in the coming months.
