Four Seasons Resort Lanai named Diego Hermelo Vidal as Spa Director, responsible for overseeing daily spa operations, including staff training, treatments and retail, fitness facilities as well as the Resort’s Yoga and Wellness program.
Hermelo Vidal has an accomplished wellness background with 20 years of experience in the spa industry. He joins Four Seasons Resort Lanai most recently from Four Seasons Resort Maui, where he served as Assistant Spa Director. His career has taken him around the globe, acquiring a thorough knowledge of spa, hotel, and retail operations. From his first roles as a spa therapist he gained experience in management and held a series of progressive positions before joining Four Seasons Costa Rica in 2019 as Assistant Spa Manager. Since then, he’s worked at Four Seasons properties in Taormina, Prague and Maui. Hermelo Vidal received a Licenciate, Art History from Universidad de Santiago de Compostela and a Diploma, Physiotherapy from Universidad Ramon Llull, both in Spain.
Hawanawana Spa, whose Hawaiian name translates to whispering ocean, offers a range of spa and salon services inspired by the blue waves just outside its door. With ingredients and inspirations pulled directly out of the ocean, renewal begins upon entering the sanctuary and continues as therapists customize every treatment to each guest, to best achieve one’s goals while elements of the ocean are expertly combined with innovative techniques to create experiences that soothe mind, body and spirit. The Spa features signature treatments such as Island Vitality Ritual and Lanai Honey Escape, highlighting the Resort’s beehives.
The Resort’s Wellness program features a range of complimentary and fee-based classes including beach yoga, Vinyasa, kid’s yoga, restorative sound bath, meditation under the stars and Reiki. Ten aerial yoga hammocks housed in a beautiful 1,000 square foot (93 square metre) yoga studio featuring floor to ceiling windows overlooking the ocean.
