FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – – (April 27, 2022) Tim Horton, chief operating officer of Dimension Hospitality, a nationally recognized hotel management and development company, today announced the promotion of longtime executive chef, Don Molinich to Chef and B, (executive chef responsible for all food and beverage) for the AAA Four-diamond DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Scottsdale Paradise Valley, located in the shadow of Camelback Mountain in Scottsdale Arizona.
Molinich’s responsibilities will include all aspects of the resort’s food and beverage operation including Asadero Cocina and Cantina, a full-service, three-meal restaurant, rebranded by Molinich to offer guests a sophisticated nod to Neuvo Southwestern cuisine. Asadero features a bougainvillea draped patio and firepit that invites guests to relax and linger over a meal or drinks. The resort also features a relaxing poolside bar and a spirits-focused lounge. With 38,000 square feet of event space over 11 venues including 3 ballrooms and picturesque outdoor options the resort is the first choice for Scottsdale area weddings and social events as well as corporate and group business.
A proven innovator and industry trend setter, Molinich served as a member of the DoubleTree’s corporate culinary counsel that developed the core standards of the Wake-up DoubleTree Breakfast Buffet. He is a dedicated champion of charitable causes and community efforts participating in annual events including Forks and Corks, AZ Wine & Dine, the Boys and Girls Club of Phoenix, Taste of Paradise and Flavors of Phoenix.
“It’s no secret that the past two years have been rough sledding for hotels, in particular those with significant meeting and event focus,” noted Horton. “Thanks in large part to Don and his F&B team, this resort has traditionally enjoyed a stellar reputation among meeting planners, vacationers who return every year, and locals who trust us with their major life events and appreciate our engagement in civic events and charities. With Don taking responsibility for all aspects of the food and beverage operation, I am confident that the resort will lead the market in a return to pre-pandemic business levels and once again play host to Scottsdale’s vacationers and business travelers.”
“This beautiful resort and the surrounding area provide continuous inspiration to elevate our offerings and highlight our local resources,” said Molinich. “In the coming months, we’ll be taking greater advantage of our property’s beautiful landscaping to offer more alfresco dining opportunities. I’m looking forward to playing a more expansive role in shaping the future of this one-of-a-kind property.”
Located at 5401 Scottsdale Rd, on the edge of Paradise Valley, The DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Scottsdale Paradise Valley with its Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired architecture offers 378 oversized guest rooms, each with a private patio or balcony and resort amenities including two outdoor pools, surrounded by lush tropical gardens, a palm-tree shaded inner courtyard with fountains that provide a respite from Arizona’s sunshine, a hot tub, tennis courts, basketball court and an expansive fitness center.
