ATLANTA, GA –February 12, 2016– Emory Conference Center Hotel announced today the appointment of Marc Suennemann as Executive Chef. The award winning Chef Suennemann will add his creative touch to Emory Conference Center Hotel’s Dining Room and Club Room, as well as all banquet and catering services.
“Chef Suennemann is recognized internationally for his innovative style of crafting menus that incorporate local flavors and ingredients with a creative touch,” said Emory Conference Center Hotel General Manager, Kathryn Johnson. “Our hotel is a dining destination for the community, as well as for our guests, and we know that Chef’s personal touch will delight all of our diners, especially the many guests who come to celebrate special occasions such as weddings,” added Johnson.
Chef Suennemann is a native of Hamburg, Germany. He began his culinary career apprenticing in five-star hotels throughout Germany and Switzerland. In 1992 he graduated from the College of Gastronomy and Food in Hamburg. In 1996 he came to the U.S. for Chateau Elan where he ultimately became executive chef for the entire resort. Most recently Chef was executive chef for the Sheraton Atlanta. In 2008, Chef Suennemann won the renowned title of The Copper Skillet World Champion, after winning The Copper Skillet U.S. Championship and then competing against chefs from around the world.
Emory Conference Center Hotel serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in The Dining Room where guests may choose a la carte service or a sumptuous buffet service. For casual dining and light fare guests may also dine in The Club Room which features a large selection of craft beer, wines and cocktails.
