Fortified team was carefully curated to drive the hospitality industry’s adoption of UrVenue solutions
LAS VEGAS — June 11, 2024 — Demand for UrVenue’s popular UV Enterprise venue-management system across various entertainment and hospitality venues, such as nightclubs, mixed-use venues, lounges, pools, sportsbooks, and more, continues to soar. The full-stack technology platform monetizes and manages experience-based inventory, drives commerce and operations, and provides data insights and knowledge management for all venues requiring reservations. With UV Enterprise, venue patrons can book and manage all experiences within a single, digital platform.
By continuing to enhance its marketing, development, sales, and support efforts, UrVenue has strengthened its leadership team through strategic new hires and internal promotions:
Dave Elsner Named Vice President of Sales
Elsner comes to UrVenue with 35 years of sales experience in technical sales with companies such as AT&T and NTT (formerly Nexus IS, a Cisco Network Integration Co.). While at NTT, Elsner served as Executive Vice President of North America Sales where he grew the company to more than $2 billion in sales while overseeing a team of 450 salespeople. In 2016, he left the business to launch “The Tech Sales Coach,” a professional training and coaching service impacting more than 50 companies and thousands of sales reps and engineers.
“There is nothing more intriguing than leading a sales team for a pioneering new technology that is sure to revolutionize an entire industry,” Elsner said. “UV Enterprise is radically changing the way ‘experiences’ are booked and enjoyed by travelers and local patrons alike. Any technology that can increase customer satisfaction, revenues, and repeat business is something I am eager to rally around.”
Brad Van Orsow Named Director of Marketing
Drawing on his extensive hospitality experience, Van Orsow is uniquely positioned to enhance UrVenue’s marketing narrative and further drive UV Enterprise adoption. As a former platform user while working with Caesars Entertainment, and more than a decade of marketing experience with UrVenue customers Bally’s, MGM Resorts, Paris, and Planet Hollywood, he is the ideal person to champion the platform’s success.
“UrVenue is in a unique space,” Van Orsow said. “Our clients offer some of the most remarkable venues experiences that travelers will ever encounter. In this role I will bring those experiences to the forefront and illustrate the tremendous upside of leveraging our solutions to build a healthier bottom line. I am excited to be a part of this growing, evolving company as it scales to new heights in 2024 and beyond.”
Mylin Wright Promoted to Director of Product Development
Wright exemplifies UrVenue’s commitment to promoting from within. She joined UrVenue in 2022 as Implementation Manager, then quickly was promoted to Technical Product Manager of a newly formed product team before being promoted once again to Director of Product Development. In this new role, Wright will align UrVenue’s development resources with its business objectives and build a strong partnership with the company’s software engineering and web services teams to better support the needs of UrVenue customers through software innovation.
“UV Enterprise was a huge interest point for me when deciding to join the UrVenue team, and it remains a top motivation for me today,” Wright said. “In my short tenure, I’ve helped cultivate the growing capabilities of our software solution and plan to continue driving innovation by contributing to the architecture of our software and supporting our development.”
Aldo Arriaga Promoted to Director of Web Services
Arriaga joined UrVenue 13 years ago as a web developer. His ability to develop web services tailored to the unique needs of UrVenue’s offerings made Arriaga the right leader to oversee a multidisciplinary team of developers, designers, SEO specialists, CMS managers, and project managers. He is responsible for leading and guiding a talented team that develops innovative and robust web solutions and shapes the technical direction and architecture of UrVenue products.
“I am deeply honored by this promotion and fully committed to driving innovation and enhancing the overall customer experience,” Arriaga said. “I aspire to lead the successful launch of several new and enhanced web products that will provide our customers with fast, easy-to-use solutions that empower them to maximize value. UrVenue is a true technology trailblazer, and I am proud to be a part of their valued and growing team.”
Alejandro Solorio Named Director of Software Engineering
Solorio joins UrVenue with 11 years of software engineering experience. His ability to improve code quality, implement efficient processes, and stay up to date with the latest hospitality technologies and methodologies earned him this coveted role. He is responsible for leading and managing a team of software engineers, offering guidance, mentorship, and support, and is tasked with establishing and implementing engineering best practices, standards, and processes. Solorio will collaborate with product management to define project requirements and timelines and communicate with the Product Development team to ensure the highest product quality.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to lead this great team of developers, and I know that with my experience and their great skills, we can achieve incredible things,” Solorio said. “In this role, I will establish processes to improve the management of the process of building and delivering code, expand the development team, and increase the number of story points delivered. My goal is to build a development team that is self-sustaining so that I can introduce new technologies and enhance all the current technologies. With UrVenue, nothing is impossible.”
UrVenue Interim CEO and Founder Cedric Ancellin said the company continues to grow exponentially year over year, and the recent hires and promotions are proof that there is a BIG demand in hospitality for our venue-based experiential technology – something that has been greatly lacking in years past.
“2023 was an exciting year of growth for UrVenue,” Ancellin said. “As we focus on new product development and global market segmentation in 2024, demand for our venue-management solutions remains steady, verifying that operators of experiential venues are relying on technology to drive revenues and add conveniences to the customer journey from beginning to end. We welcome our new team members and congratulate those dedicated employees on their well-deserved promotions.”
