Brady Leman, 2018 Ski Cross Olympic Gold Medalist, sponsored by GuestTek
GuestTek Interactive Entertainment, Ltd. is pleased to announce their sponsorship of Brady Leman, winner of the 2018 Olympic Gold Medal in ski cross. Brady’s Olympic dreams began just outside Calgary, where he got his start skiing at Lake Louise at only 18 months old. As a child, he spent hours watching a 1988 Calgary Olympics highlight video loop while his mother worked at the Canada Olympic Park ski shop. He knew he wanted to ski for his country.
On his journey to win ski cross gold for Canada, Brady overcame many obstacles. He has broken his right leg three times. Just after moving from ski team alternate to competitor in the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, a training run crash aggravated his tibia injury, forcing him to drop out. The injuries to his right leg have forced him to miss other milestone events, such as the 2011 Winter X Games in Aspen. At the Sochi 2014 Olympics, Brady just missed winning an Olympic medal when he finished fourth. After these serious injuries and years of setbacks, Brady had to decide whether to continue. Brady Leman chose to persevere. That confidence and determination lead him to Olympic gold, yet Brady has more to do in the world of ski cross. His next goals are to win hardware in the 2019 World Championships, the Crystal Globe, and the 2022 Olympics in Beijing. GuestTek will provide support to get him there.
GuestTek’s President and CEO, Arnon Levy, has met Brady and admires his work ethic and tenacity. “Both GuestTek and Brady got their start in Calgary,” Mr. Levy said. “Like Brady, we know what it’s like to work hard and overcome obstacles on the way to become a global leader. We look forward to cheering Brady on in his next competition.” Brady Leman added, “The GuestTek team here in Calgary is more than a sponsor to me, they are family. I am thankful to have their partnership as I work to attain my next dream.”
