ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (January 7, 2019) – The Vinoy® Renaissance Resort & Golf Club continues its reimagining with the appointment of Matthew Brennan as the Executive Chef. Brennan previously held the title of Executive Sous Chef for the resort.
“We are delighted to appoint Chef Matthew to the role of Executive Chef for the resort. The title and promotion are very well-deserved and speak highly to his personal skill and ability to take the resort’s culinary offerings to new heights, constantly evolving the guest experience when it comes to dining,” said Barbara Readey, General Manager at The Vinoy Renaissance Resort & Golf Club.
Brennan, a graduate of the esteemed Culinary Institute of America, cut his teeth under Chef Jean Robert DeCavel at the world-renowned Le Maisonette in Cincinnati. He further honed his craft with a stint at the Four Seasons Lanai in Hawaii, where he oversaw the kitchen at the ONE FORTY Steakhouse, as well as the Denver Marriott City Center in Colorado. Since joining The Vinoy® in May of 2017, Brennan has consistently brought a fresh, innovative energy to the culinary team. As Executive Chef, Brennan will oversee culinary operations for the entire resort and kick off all new initiatives for the property.
