The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Foundation is proud to honor hospitality professionals and organizations who have excelled in providing exemplary leadership in uncertain times with the second-ever Talent and Leadership Development Adrian Award. The pandemic has caused significant challenges in human resources during the pandemic, with major layoffs, furloughs, and reorganization – for this reason, it is important now, more than ever, to recognize leadership under trying circumstances.

“Strong leadership has been absolutely essential in 2020,” said Robert A. Gilbert, CHME, CHBA, president and CEO of HSMAI. “The pandemic has challenged hospitality leaders in ways our industry has not experienced. The HSMAI Foundation is honored to present an opportunity to celebrate their contributions to the industry’s recovery. ”

Entries in this category should focus on mitigating the impact on staff, staff onboarding and cross-training, utilization, leadership courage, and retention efforts. It is free to enter for the HSMAI Foundation Talent and Leadership Development Adrian Award.

“The Talent and Leadership Development Awards elevate the overall caliber and performance of sales, marketing, and revenue management professionals in the global hospitality industry by recognizing the leaders who have been models of resilience in unprecedented conditions,” said Agnelo Fernandes, HSMAI Foundation Chair.
