In the heart of Historic Downtown San Juan Capistrano, the boutique hotel welcomes Fernanda Jaime as Director of Event Planning and Operations and Rod Gopiao as Director of Food and Beverage  

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA (May 26, 2021) –– Inn at the Mission San Juan Capistrano, an Autograph Collection Hotel, is pleased to announce the recent hire of Fernanda Jaime to director of event planning and operations and Rod Gopiao to director of food and beverage. Jaime will lead the execution of all event operations and event management strategy, and Gopiao will be at the forefront of the guest dining experience, overseeing the culinary team and all property food and beverage services.

Jaime is originally from La Paz, Mexico and moved to Orange County in 1998 after attending college in Guadalajara, Jalisco. Following her schooling, she began working at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, holding various positions in catering, conference services and sales for nearly 15 years. Jaime previously served as the director of weddings and social events at The Resort at Pelican Hill, re-introducing the property as one of the top wedding destinations in the U.S. Additionally, she has held roles at Carmel Valley Ranch and Highgate Hotels before making a return to the Marriott family, joining The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara as their director of sales and catering in February 2019.

Born in the Philippines, Gopiao migrated to the United States in 1984 and was inspired to join the hospitality industry by his parents, who owned a bakeshop, restaurant and were members of the Hotel & Restaurant Association. Gopiao began his career in banquet operations and continued to work in sales, convention services, and food and beverage teams for various Omni Hotels & Resorts and Marriott International properties. Most recently, Gopiao held roles as director of food and beverage at Omni Nashville Hotel and director of event management at Los Angeles Airport Marriott. In his leisure time, Gopiao enjoys golf and traveling, where he delights in exploring historical, hidden gems and dining at local eateries.
